     Going Green

The Green movement is one of the most important changes in our industry in the past decade. Because of the latest advancements in green lighting, it is now more affordable, available and flexible than ever before. It is now possible to save energy and our planet with little investment upfront. At Calvary Design, we are at the forefront of this movement and will provide lighting solutions that are efficient on energy and an investment in future savings.

Going Green (LEED) - Lighting accounts for 20 to 25 percent of the electricity used annually in the United States. If energy efficient lighting were used exclusively, overall energy for lighting would be reduced 50% or 12 billion per year. Balancing the use of common incandescent lamps, Halogen, Compact Fluorescent and LED’s can drastically reduce energy consumption. Also, the controls or dimming system can play a large role in the energy savings.
